Remember When?
Greg Ogden '59 has a great story from his Lambda Chi days. He writes, "One of my best memories is of my pledge trip to the Univ of West Virginia, fall 1956, with Don Whalen. We hitched out the PA Turnpike, and at the exit to go to UWVA, we were picked up by of all people, an undertaker.  He passed us at the toll booth, and then reversed at screech speed to collect us.  Off we went.  We continued at warp speed across the mountain turns, convinced that we were his next customers.  Don kept crossing himself and praying.  We got to his house (and business) on the outskirts of town, where he said he had a few chores before he would take us on into the campus.  So in we go, hoping to get something to drink at least.  Instead, he offered to show us around.  I took him up on it.  Don't remember if Don did or not.  Cadavers and all.  Start of one heck of a weekend, needless to say."
